The publication of the final Grenfell Tower inquiry report is a significant moment for the bereaved and survivors, as well as the wider Kensington and Chelsea community and all who live and work in social housing.
It is a moment for us all to reflect again on what went wrong and how such a tragedy was able to unfold, while ensuring the vital lessons learned are fully taken on board so such a disaster can never be repeated.
We will now absorb the many findings and recommendations of the report, identify any actions we need to take and whether changes are needed to our existing building safety programme, and continue our work to ensure every resident is safe.
The publication of the final report will have a major impact on the local community, in which we have a considerable presence. We will continue to be there for our affected residents, neighbours and colleagues and provide whatever support we can, whether practical or emotional. Our thoughts are with everyone affected today, and every day, by the tragedy of Grenfell Tower.
