There have been several changes recently to make sure that those of you who live in one of our high-rise buildings (one that is either seven storeys or higher than 18 metres tall) are kept safe.
We’ve already told you about the building safety managers we’ve appointed to take on all building safety responsibilities in our taller structures.
Since then, we’ve successfully registered all 182 of our high-rise buildings with the new building safety regulator in line with the national deadline of 30 September 2023. Introduced by the government, the new regulator’s role is to ensure that high-rise buildings are safe and that we, as the landlord, are doing everything we should to keep you safe in your home.
If you live in one of those 182 buildings, you should receive a letter soon with the registration number along with your building safety manager’s details.
If you want to talk to us about any aspect of building safety, we are here to listen. You can contact your housing officer or property management officer through MyAccount or your building safety manager. Your building is your home, so it’s important to us that you feel safe.
We hope you won’t need to, but you might want to contact the regulator to ask them questions about anything they do or if you are unhappy with how Notting Hill Genesis are handling any building safety concerns. We’ll include more details of how to do that in your letter.
We’ll be working on several actions over the coming months to help us meet new building safety regulations. That will include speaking to you about how you would like us to engage with you about building safety.
